Didn't realize that was the case, instead I thought the process didn't have bumps like that, since it seems like there's a lot they learned from the last NSX that was put into this one, just cranked up.

What do you mean by the last NSX? Because the last NSX was from a long time time ago and the power train in that model has nothing to do with the new NSX.

Exactly in what ways do the powertrains from both the first generation NSX and this new second generation model have nothing to do with each other?

The new NSX is a hybrid powertrain that is brand new. It is brand new technology that Honda has been working on. The older NSX last was produced 10 years ago in 2005. It ran on a V6 engine, no hybrid involved.

The engines just really have nothing to do with one another.

Oh, I though they might carried on some tech or something from the old setup into this.

Yet, another article that talks about how things are being delayed left, right and centre at FCA.

Quote:
And according to a report from BloombergBusiness, the delay all comes down to parent company Fiat Chrysler's slower-than-expected growth in China.

The once-booming Chinese economy is in the midst of a significant slowdown that's impacting that country's market for new cars. Couple that with Fiat's reported debt of 10.3 billion euros (nearly $11 billion at today's exchange rate), and the imminent loss of income from the spin-off of Ferrari from parent company FCA, and you've got a pretty grim financial forecast.

Crazy how things are getting delayed but it might just be part of the process for FCA to finally get things right. They have a growing amoutn of things on their plate so we'll have to wait and see how things go over the next year or so.
