Maserati Alfieri Concept Car - the design process

Lorenzo Ramaciotti, Marco Tencone and Giovanni Ribotta, designers at Maserati Centro Stile, illustrate the development process of the Alfieri.

I always liked the front end but the rear needs to be reworked, looks way too dated and doesn't have the sort of impact the front end does. Come time for the production model, i'd like to see that revised.

Not enough of a slope in the back end? Maybe that's why it looks a bit dated.

I like the slop they have going on in the rear but my beef is with how the tail light setup and the part of the rear end its worked into looks... that's the part that could be changed.

It's been reported that the Alfieri will transition into production with minimal changes if any so the rear tail lights and setup may be here to stay.

The A6GCS/54 looks classic. They may share an elongated hood but the Alfieri's compact rear just doesn't look as polished.

I bet some way, some how they'll still find some cues to pull even at the slightest. I noticed more and more brands have this sort of obligation to fill.
