MAGirl I'm impressed so far by the pictures, but it all comes down to actually being in it, sitting and driving it is a whole other story.

BlackGold Indeed, but you also have to look at what Maserati could have learned from and there are many examples out right now to help them do just that. Porsche came in during a time when that segment of SUV's was just starting, so them starting where they did when they did was expected.

It is worth remembering that Porsche has adjusted things quite a bit since the Cayenne first came out. They didn't get it perfect the first time around.

Meatballs Not a big fan of the lower grille but other than that the Levante looks ok. Wouldn't be my first choice for an SUV. And it's not outdated, just down to personal preference. I like my SUVs pulling double duties as a fun on/off road drive.

Neptune I don't see it as outdated. I also think I have to see it in person. The more rectangular base shape of the SUV might be dated, but it also could just be a cool styling element that makes it different from others.

BlackGold The whole design.

Looks like what fits into the time when the Quattroporte first came out. If Maserati wants success in a vital segment such as this they should have came out with design that is more relevant to the current market.

Going to be interesting to see how sales unfold.

Meatballs I think it looks sleek and up to date with the front fender vents and the nice sloping roofline. It has that classic Maserati look. What part of it looks outdated?

BlackGold Interesting response.

I think they should have done more to make it stand out, design already seems a few years behind.

Seeing it in person might change my view.

Neptune I am gonna have to see it in person because sometimes the proportions look weird with the more square rear end, but generally I like it. I think its better than the first Cayenne was.
